Shirley Carmouche McCann, 77, Marksville

Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Carmouche McCann will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville with Pastor Ken Moore officiating. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery #2. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Marksville.

Mrs. McCann, age 77, of Marksville, LA passed away on Monday, April 15th, 2024 at 11:27 p.m. at her residence in Marksville surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilton “Mac” McCann, Jr; parents, Landry Carmouche, Sr and Gladys Fontenot; brother, Landry Carmouche and sister, Eva Mayo.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, David Wayne McCann (Velma) of Center Point; two daughters, Jessica McCann Brossette and Melody McCann Scallan of Marksville; three brothers, Terrell Carmouche Sr., Daniel Carmouche Sr., Davis Carmouche Sr. (Angie) all of Marksville; sister, Martha Moras (Abraham) of Hessmer, seven grandchildren, Karlie Stracener, Hailey Scallan, Brayden Brossette, Avarie Nunez, Isabella Brossette, Blanche Fisher and David Bachman. She also leaves behind ten great grandchildren.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Chris Carmouche, Terell Carmouche, Jr., Carl Belgard, Eric Carmouche, Bennette Brouillette, and Conway Pruitt.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will resume at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville.
